Last year was the most successful year yet for Actual Reality Pictures. We premiered two award-winning documentaries:
Thin and
Shays' Rebellion: America's First Civil War. Our television series
Black.White. won an Emmy Award, and broke ratings records while garnering rave reviews. The second season of
30 Days aired to critical acclaim on FX. A&E premiered our documentary
Oh Baby, Now What?. And in its second season,
Flip That House continued to wow audiences as TLC's most popular show.
And 2007 is shaping up to be an even better year. Thanks for your continued support!
Flip That House has been picked up for a third season on TLC. Already TLC's most popular show, Season Three will feature 40 more house flippers in their quest to squeeze the greatest value out of their properties.
Tune in every Saturday at 9PM and catch two brand-new episodes from the current season on TLC.
We sent the cameras back to all ten of the flips featured in the first season of
Flip That House to get an update from everyone on how things turned out. The first two "Flip Forward" episodes air on January 20, 2007 at 9PM E/P on TLC, featuring "Neil's Hip Highland Park Flip" and "Jim's California Craftsman".
After surviving on minimum wage and spending a month in jail, Morgan Spurlock will be back in another season of our award-winning series
30 Days. Spurlock will be featured in two of the six new episodes this year. Stay tuned to the web site for more information about the upcoming season, and to download episodes from the first two seasons that you might have missed.
As Variety announced in December, we have begun shooting a feature documentary film about the making of the September issue of Vogue Magazine and the magazine's legendary editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. The film is directed and produced by R.J. Cutler. Our partners on the project are A&E IndieFilms--expect the movie to hit theaters in 2008.
On January 9th, the NAACP
announced the nominations for the 2007 NAACP Image Awards and we're extremely proud that our production,
Black.White. has been nominated in the category of "Outstanding Reality Series". The NAACP Image Awards will air live on Fox on March 2nd, 2007 at 8PM E/P. Congratulations to the participants and everyone else who worked on the show.
